Your child is probably starting to feel overwhelmed as they prepare for their GCSE Spanish exam, but with the right plan, you can help them boost their confidence and maximize their results. A structured revision timetable will help them stay on track, ensuring they cover all key areas of the exam. Here’s a week-by-week breakdown to help them revise effectively.
One of the first things I get my students to do is to create a Verb Timeline. This provides an excellent overview of all the verbs (-ar, -er and -ir). We select one verb for each (eg. hablar for -ar, comer for -er and vivir for -ir) and conjugate it across all the tenses. Once you have this you can then move on to set up the following Revision Plan, working back from the date of the exams (remember the oral exam will be around six weeks before the written, reading and listening elements of the exam so revision for this must be prioritised.
